Until recently, regular beach-type sand was brushed in between paving stones once interlaid.

This permitted oxygen and moisture in between the pavers which allowed weeds and bugs to grow, as well as expand and contract the moisture underground with the varied temperatures.

Now with the creation of Polymeric sand, which once applied and activated creates a moisture and oxygen proof yet flexible seal, weeds, bugs and sinking pavers are non-existent.

Q: Do you offer a warranty?

ALL our stones come with a LIFETIME guarantee! Additionally, if you ever decide to sell your home, your warranty is fully transferable to the new homeowner. This adds value to your selling price!

Q: What are paving stones made of?
A: Interlocking paving stones are made of highly compressed, intensely vibrated, slightly damp concrete with color mixed in. They are 60 mm or roughly 2 inches thick and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

Q: Why are paving stones better than anything else?
A: Interlocking pavers are so durable because they have excellent load dispersion capability as well as load bearing capacity. They are rated for 8000 pounds per square inch or more! Many paving stones reach 11 to 12 thousand pound compressive strength per SQUARE INCH, WOW! They can flex under pressure and rarely crack and break. Utility lines can be accessed as well. Simply unlock the paving stones, repair the utility lines, and call us. We will gladly lock it back together for you at a very reasonable cost.

Q: Can Paving stones be put on top of existing cement?
A: Sometimes we can overlay a patio but there must be at least 3 inches of clearance from the top of the cement to the threshold of the door. Driveways and pool decks cannot be overlayed because there would be a 3 inch bump up from the street and a 3 inch bump down into the garage.

Q: How are interlocking concrete paving stones installed?

  • 1) Excavate 7 " from final grade
  • 2) Install 4" of class 2 base then compact it.
  • 3) Screen 1" of sand
  • 4) Lay the paving stones and cut in the borders
  • 5) Set the borders in concrete where needed
  • 6) Compact the area, sweep Polymeric sand into the joints and compact again.
  • 7) Clean up while fine tuning the installation.

Q: Why isn't excavation and installation the same day?
A: By allowing the base to settle after excavation, natures elements assist in the extra compaction of your base with the fluctuating levels in temperature day to night, the humidity changes (barometric pressures) and we hope for at least 1-2 days of rain to assist in the process as well. This ensures a secure and air-pocket free base that commercial equipment can't compact alone. The end result is a solid base/foundation to install your stone, and then we do a final compaction after the stone is installed. This will allow for equal distribution of rain to be absorbed by the stone into the base and into the soil beneath your foundation. This also helps the PolyMeric sand to keep the stones intact and maintain the many years of wear and elements that usually make installations begin to sink and separate. As our company prides itself in referrals, we aim to keep the referrals coming in for many years by completing your job properly and professionally. Yes, some companies will do your project back to back (excavation/installation) but that's because they can't afford to wait for their complete payment. Our profit is your final payment - of which you hold back 30% until the job is completed to your satisfaction, we've cleaned up after ourselves, and taken all debris from your property for disposal. It would clearly be in any companies best interest to get the job done fast so they can get paid sooner than later, but we would rather wait for a short period to complete your project as suggested by all major manufacturers of hardscapes, particularly on commercial and industrial installations, by allowing nature to assist in the process. We have (and still can) on certain occasions, completed projects in 1-2 days, start to finish (your project would probably be only 1 full day as our crews are big and we have more than enough equipment to do so), but that was due to function or event deadlines at the customers request. In doing so, the customer is advised in advance that the installation shouldn't rushed in order to provide them with years of maintenance free installation.
